Several years before this project was built the owners built a new residence with lakeside views.  The existing boathouse was in disrepair and architecturally uneventful.  The space was converted into an entertainment space with cathedral ceilings, clerestory transom windows, gliding doors, and a large Dutch door emulating existing boat access doors to provide light and open-air views. The interior was fit out with beautiful stained wood finishes and a custom-built bar. Space was left for mechanical and storage but most observers would never notice it as anything other than finished space.  This project appears to be a well-designed boathouse with a surprising interior.
